Star Wars fans have waited on tenterhooks for months to find out what the Dark Side's new leader looks like.

And while the latest trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens contains Supreme Leader Snoke's voice, his appearance continues to remain a mystery.

Despite not featuring the chief baddie in person, the Thanksgiving treat focused on the upcoming movie's villains.

In the gripping one-minute long video, released on Thursday, Snoke, played by Andy Serkis, says ominously: 'There has been an awakening. Have you felt it?'

The same words were uttered in the very first trailer a year ago but only now do viewers know they were said by Snoke.

Kylo Ren (Adam Driver), of the Knights of Ren and a First Order ally, replies: 'Yes.'
